2024 Lynk & Co Z10 in-depth Walkaround
The Lynk & Co Z10 is an E-segment car, comparable to the VW ID.7. Although Lynk & Co has yet to release the full specifications, data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has disclosed much of the details. The new EV measures 5,028 mm in length, 1,966 mm in width, and between 1,463 mm and 1,468 mm in height, depending on the configuration. The large sedan boasts a 3,005 mm wheelbase.
Inside, the Z10 features a relatively conventional interior for an electric sedan, dominated by a large 15.4-inch infotainment screen. It also includes a narrow LCD instrument panel and a head-up display. All seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and the interior uses leather and suede materials extensively. Audiophiles will appreciate the Harman Kardon audio system, which includes WANOS panoramic sound technology with 7.1.4 channels, 23 speakers, and 1600-watt power. The Z10’s systems are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip running the Flyme Auto system, developed in partnership with Meizu.
Lynk & Co has revealed that the Z10 operates with 800-volt batteries, adding 573 km of range in just 15 minutes and offering over 800 km when fully charged. In terms of performance, the car's two motors enable it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds. These range and performance specifications likely refer to different power-electric configurations.
MIIT data has identified three powertrain variants of the Lynk & Co Z10, all equipped with an LFP battery pack. The base variant has a 200 kW motor from Viridi Energy Mobility Technology (VREMT), achieving a top speed of 210 kph. The mid-range variant features a 310 kW motor from Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology, with a top speed of 240 kph.
The top-end variant combines the 310 kW motor with a second 270 kW motor from Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology. This additional motor increases the top speed to 250 kph and likely adds all-wheel-drive capability, aligning with the officially stated 0-100 kph sprint time of 3.5 seconds. VREMT and Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology, like Lynk & Co., are part of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
