On the morning of Saturday, June 13th, 1987, 23-year-old college student Cathy Sposito left on her mountain bike heading towards the Thumb Butte Trail near Prescott. Finding her alone in a secluded part of the trail, a predator snuck up behind her. When help arrived, it was already too late. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office worked for years and years but were only left with more questions than answers.
