RTMP live streaming works like this-
A live video/audio feed is picked up by the camera and goes to an encoder where it is compressed and pushed into an online video platform or media server. The media servers transcode the audio/video files into a multitude of formats and transport them to a CDN, which distributes the live stream to the various playback devices and browsers around the world.
