Hey there hey friends. Today a drop an extra video to share with you my flip-through from Inktober 2024, and to introduce Thrifty Pastel Month 2024!
Announcing A November Art Challenge!
Hello all. I am proud to announce the second annual challenge hosted by The Thrifty Apprentice during the month of November.
Thrifty Pastel Month is a month long challenge with weekly (instead of daily) prompts encouraging all artist to pull out those pastels, and put them to work. This challenge welcomes all forms of pastel. You are welcome to use the actual medium, or other mediums using pastel tone colors.
All mediums welcome as long as pastel tones/colors are used!
Pastel mediums include:
Soft Pastel (Chalk)
Oil pastels (Water Soluble Included)
Pastel Pencils
Watercolor Crayons (A Wax Pastel)
Pastel Tones (Any Other Medium Using Pastel Colors)
Each prompt has a post date. Each Sunday of the month of November will be the post date for that week. Simply post your work to Instagram, and Include the hashtag #Thriftypastelmonth. You should also tag The Thrifty Apprentice in your post. Once the challenge is over a video will be produced showcasing the artwork of participants.
I am really excited about this challenge. I feel like it will be a really cool way for novice, and professionals alike to connect. I really hope you decide to participate, and create.
