Is There Such a Thing as High-Art and Low-Art?
High-Art and Low-Art, a video essay deconstructing the concept and exploring art philosophy.
In this video, I explore an idea that's been informing every video on my channel and, quite frankly, bothering me. It's led to people misinterpreting some of my past work, and for good reason. This should've been my first video, but I wasn't equipped to make it at the start of this channel. I'm glad I could get it out now, though.
Due to this being a special project for me, I wanted to make it markedly anti-algorithm; I wanted it to be honest. In a lot of my videos, I feel a pressure to have a constant stream of images on screen, but I didn't do that here--I wanted it to be more honest.
This is the rawest and most unfiltered video I've ever made, and I'm glad to say I did it my way. I hope it finds it's people who appreciate this type of thing.
