Today I'm painting a rose on an abstract background. I am not a floral artist... Infact, I usually avoid painting flowers. However, I have recently wanted to up my flower game in order to incorporate these blooming buds of wonder into some of my concepts.
Honestly, painting flowers has always seemed a little boring to me. So, in order to make it more interesting, I thought "Lydia, let's make an abstract background and go from there." And you know what? It was not only really fun, but I ended up really loving the outcome!
