The Rodeo Thief
A former rodeo champion, who has suffered an injury and can no longer achieve greatness in the sport, finds himself on the brink of poverty. He struggles with pain and despair, trying to find a way out of his situation. However, due to his desperation, he falls under the influence of a ruthless loan shark, who forces him to take on a risky task: stealing valuable roping horses meant for rodeo competitions.
Things don’t go as planned when the man finds himself caught between the choice of preserving his dignity or getting involved in criminal schemes, where loss is inevitable. The situation worsens when he learns that even those he trusts may turn out to be enemies, ready to betray him for personal gain.
The tragic ending comes when the protagonist realizes that the true battle is not with the loan shark, but with his own conscience. In this story, there are no winners, only attempts to find at least a minimal amount of salvation in a world where cruelty and betrayal have become the norm.
