A promise is a way to handle asynchronous operations in programming. Think of it like a real-life promise: when you promise to do something, you either fulfill it or let the person know you can't. With the following states, "Pending", "Resolved" & "Rejected"
In computing, synchronous and asynchronous operations refer to how tasks are handled in relation to time and task completion.
