There’ve been protests around Australia over the government’s decision to put administrators in charge of the construction section of one of the CFMEU. It’s a union that was created to look after the rights of construction workers but some leaders have been accused of working with criminals and using the union’s power for their own benefit. We look at the history of unions in Australia and why the problems at the CFMEU are such a big deal.
