There are many different elements that need to be analyzed when looking for trend reversals or trend continuations for that matter. A combination of notorious phase analysis methods like Dow Theory, Elliott Wave, and Wyckoff can provide a solid framework in a general sense. Other methods like velocity, momentum divergence, volume divergence, and volume spread analysis can provide insight about the strength behind trend movement in a way that raw candlesticks cannot tell. Candlesticks themselves have a lot to offer beyond the common patterns. Things like candle stochastic, body to range ratio, and price persistence are all part of the trend predicting equation as well. The idea of this video is to make it clear that the technical trader should aim to integrate all these different trading methods together instead of picking just one. That is a good way of increasing the strength of trading signals to the point where they become reliable in the long term.
