What a lean pilot circuit sounds like on a 4-stroke motocross bike atv quad jet clogged fuel screw
This bike's pilot fuel screw needed to be adjusted. But yours can be clogged (or lean) pilot jet, lean adjusted fuel screw, exhaust leak, silencer needs packing, valve adjustment, clogged fuel petcock inside the tank - all of these things can sound like this. And if your bike is running lean it runs hotter as well. ANY modern carbureted 4-stroke mx bike or racing atv quad. If you have to turn your fuel screw more than 2.5 turns out from closed you should install a larger pilot jet or check your pilot jet for blockage. Make sure you physically remove the jet and look through its tiny hole.
