1 Shaitan Named Khanzab Disturbs Us -
Once a Sahabi came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he said:
“The Shaitan comes between me and my salat and causes me problems with my recitation.”
So the Messenger of Allah, (peace be upon him), said: “That is a shaitan called Khanzab, so if you feel his presence, seek refuge in Allah and blow a mist to your left three times.” He said: “I applied this advice and Allah has rid me off him.”
(Sahih Muslim)

Salah, or prayer, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is considered a fundamental act of worship for Muslims. It involves performing a set of specific physical and verbal actions at prescribed times throughout the day. The purpose of Salah is to maintain a direct connection with Allah (God) and to demonstrate submission, gratitude, and devotion.
Muslims are required to perform Salah five times daily at designated times: Fajr (pre-dawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night). Each prayer includes a series of units called Rak'ahs, which involve standing, bowing, prostrating, and sitting while reciting verses from the Quran and other supplications.
Before performing Salah, Muslims must be in a state of physical and spiritual purity, achieved through a ritual washing known as Wudu (ablution). The prayer itself begins with the intention (Niyyah) to perform the prayer and the Takbir, saying "Allahu Akbar" (God is the Greatest). During the prayer, worshippers recite Surah Al-Fatiha and other Quranic verses, praise Allah, and seek guidance and forgiveness.
Salah is performed individually or in congregation, with the latter being particularly encouraged for men. The communal prayer fosters a sense of unity and equality among Muslims. Friday's midday prayer, known as Jumu'ah, is especially significant and includes a sermon (Khutbah) delivered by the Imam.
Overall, Salah serves as a means for Muslims to reaffirm their faith, seek closeness to Allah, and cultivate discipline, humility, and mindfulness in their daily lives.
