There are simple core steps to install redis and works on the cli.
1. go to www.redis.io
2. click in download tab
3. download the tar file.
4. unzip it.
5. install the redis application in the zipped file.
6. go to where you installed it.
7. open redis_server application
8. Open redis_cli application
9. Now type "ping"
in retun you will see "pong" message this means its done successfully.
