How many pages can you have on squarespace?
Sqspce limits the number of pages you can have to 1000. There are no limits for blog posts. You can have as many posts on your website as you can write. Events are limited to 350 events per month.
Page and project galleries can go up to 250 images and/or videos. product pages can heave up to a maximum of 200 products.
How do I add a page to a page in Squarespace?
To add a page, log into your admin dashboard. Choose the website you want to edit. Go to pages. You can add pages directly under main navigation or on The Not Linked section. To add a page on the main navigation just click the + button, Choose the type and give it a name.
You can then click on the page. click on edit, to edit it. You will be able to layouts , blocks and all other available content types.
What is a layout page in squarespace?
A layout page is a fully or partly pre-designed page that you can use by changing its content. Choose a layout and then switch out the content with yours. There are different types of layouts to choose from. Different layouts can be used for different purposes. For instance you can have layouts for services, contacts, teams , about, appointments, customer reviews and so much more.
How do I change page layout in squarespace?
You can redesign pages using other layouts. Just choose a different layout by clicking on the plus button on your page in edit mode. When designing pages, it is good to start from a blank template. You can then populate the layout with other pre-made layouts. When you don't start from blank template, then to change page layout will probably involve creating a new page.

How to add a sub page in squarespace
What you are trying to do is add a Sub Menu in your Navigation. To add a sub page, you need to add a Folder. A folder can be added in the same way as a page. Once you add the sub menu folder, drag in the pages you want under it. When people hover over the folder name within your main nav, the sub menus will appear.
Your Squarespace website will now have a drop down menu. However you cannot nest sub menus. You can use sub pages to list blog categories in your website blog.
Index page squarespace
Index page as it's defined is for version 7.0 . You can use them to add sub-pages to a single page. For a similar functionality in Sqspce version 7.1, you have portfolio pages. Portfolio pages will link to your sub pages. To add Index page / portfolio page, click on the plus button used for adding pages.
Then choose portfolio , then decide on a layout for the portfolio pge. Enter title, press return . Click edit and you'll then be able to edit the style and add subpages.

Adding a page to navigation is as easy as dragging it up to the Main Navigation section at the top. In version 7.1, if you create a page under Main Navigation it will automatically get added to the menu. If you create it under , not linked, it will not be on the main Menu. To add a not linked page, just drag it up. to create sub menus, create a folder, then drag in the pages you want under it.

In squarespce 7.1 use Portfolio pages to create Index pages. Create a portfolio type, choose layout, edit it and add the pages you want as sub pages.

Working with the navigation is all about creating new pages or dragging them where you want them. You can drag them up and down to alter the menu arrangement.
