Hi guys, in this short video you will see how to add a user to the sudoers file in Debian. I'm using Debian 12 here but it will be the same other Debian versions.
There's two commands you need which are:
sudo usermod -aG sudo username
Replace username with your username - in my case my username was Darren.
you can then check if it has worked by running the command:
groups username
again replace username with your username.
The last thing needed is to give the system a quick reboot and then all should work.
Any issues leave a comment!
Cheers,
Darren
