What started as a birthday celebration quickly turned into a race against time.
Tegan (7) doesn’t remember much about the day his house caught fire — just that it was his mom’s birthday. Suddenly, there were a lot of flames, loud popping noises - then the oven blew up. He heard the alarm go off, and the last thing he remembers seeing is his home burning down.
His advice? Don’t grab anything – just get out quickly.
