How to Rename Your Network Connections in Windows
If you have multiple network connections and would like to change their names so they are easier to work with, you can either edit the registry or use a free tool called Sordum Network Profile Name Changer. This tool will allow you to rename your network connection name and also change it from public to private if needed. If you need to change the adapter name, you can do so by right clicking it and choosing rename while in the Network and Sharing Center.
