To plot a semi-logarithmic graph (also known as a semi-log graph) in Excel, you'll need to have data that contains both logarithmic and linear scales. The semi-log graph is commonly used when one axis needs to be plotted on a logarithmic scale and the other axis on a linear scale. Follow these steps to create a semi-log graph in Excel:

Step 1: Enter your data:
Enter your data into two columns. One column should contain the data points for the linear scale (usually the x-axis), and the other column should contain the corresponding data points for the logarithmic scale (usually the y-axis).
Make sure your data is arranged in two columns with appropriate headers.

Step 2: Create the chart:
Select the data range including both columns by clicking and dragging over the cells containing your data.

Step 3: Insert a chart:
Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
Click on the "Recommended Charts" or "Insert Scatter (X, Y) or Bubble Chart" button, depending on your Excel version.
Choose the "Scatter" or "Scatter with Straight Lines" chart type.

Step 4: Format the vertical axis (Y-axis) to be logarithmic:
Right-click on the vertical axis (Y-axis) of the chart (the one that contains the logarithmic data).
Select "Format Axis" from the context menu.
In the Format Axis pane, check the "Logarithmic scale" option.
Set the base of the logarithm, if needed. Usually, the default base 10 is suitable for most cases.
Click "Close" to apply the changes.

Step 5: Customize the chart (if desired):
You can customize the chart further by adding titles, adjusting axis labels, changing marker styles, etc.

That's it! You now have a semi-logarithmic graph in Excel. The linear scale data will be plotted along the horizontal (x) axis, and the logarithmic scale data will be plotted along the vertical (y) axis with a logarithmic scale.
