Some mathematical methods in the analysis of geophysical flows
The aim of this talk is to present some techniques that can be used to analyze mathematically geophysical fluid equations, in terms of well-posedness, and of the asymptotic behaviour of the solutions. In order to be the most accessible possible, this overview will be made in simplified settings (in particular in terms of the number of parameters involved and of boundary conditions) and no attempt will be made to present the most up-to-date results in the
field, which involve many more technicalities.
