What does a blessed life look like? Matthew 5 takes us to Jesus’ famous sermon about the ‘Beatitudes’ … “be these attitudes!”
Blessed isn’t what we think about in terms of a blissfully happy life. It means fortunate. So, if you live the way Jesus tells us, you will be fortunate, and if you don’t, you will be unfortunate.
Check these out! He says you are fortunate if you are humble, a peacemaker, merciful, and hunger and thirst after righteousness. But you are unfortunate if you are proud, cause strife, deny mercy and chase after sinful pleasures. How will you choose to live? Will you choose to trust & obey Jesus, or will you lose your soul in exchange for what the world offers. I wanna be the kind of blessed that Jesus defines!
