This video gives the best instructions and directions for finding the precursor alien tablets in Subnautica. These tablets are used to open locked doors to precursor alien bases and alien caches containing PDA downloads and ion cubes.
There are 7 purple tablets, 1 orange tablet, and 1 blue tablet to be found in Subnautica. There were also red and white tablets originally in the game files which I've included in the screenshot for fun and a little mystery. Let's go find those tablets!
