Do you want a better relationship with your Teen?

Did you know stress is at an all-time high for teens- and their parents?
67% of teens say they pretend to be doing better than they are because they do not want to upset others, like their parents.
70% wish their school taught them more about mental health and how to
better cope. Sadly, schools are not teaching this, leading teens to rely on social media sites to “help” them.

But here’s the problem… Your teen suffers from TBS: Teen Brain Syndrome.
The teen brain causes your adolescent to act in ways that make you scratch your head (at best): being forgetful, procrastinating, lack of hygiene, feeling anxious, eye-rolling, being glued to their phone, etc.
Look, I get it. As a mom of two teens, I KNOW it can feel frustrating and stressful it can be.
I also know you are not stuck.
As a clinical psychologist I have helped millions of people make positive
changes in their lives, and I can help you, too.
Being a regular contributor to national media outlets, you may have seen me on shows such as the Today Show, Good Morning America or Dr. Oz
or read one of my bestselling books.
Want a better relationship with your teen?
Now, it is actually quite simple. Just remember TEEN: it’s an acronym
T stands for “Teach your teens the right skills for success.” And they are not getting this in school.
E stands for “Employ optimal teen-specific communication.” So you can get them to do what you want them to.
The next E stands for “Embrace the Over-Under Principle.” This is a principle I have created after working with clients for over 25 years that clients have told be literally saved their relationships.
Finally, N stands for “Navigate out of the Red Zone, which we will talk about a bit more in a moment.
Now, I get that you don’t have a lot of time. And here’s the great thing: each
step is easy to understand and implement.
In fact, let me walk you through one crucial part right now: Navigating out of the Red zone.
Have you ever “lost it” on your teen, been so frustrated with them that you
said something you later regretted or spoke to them in a way that, frankly, you would not want others to see? If you are human, you probably have. I know I sure have.
Now here’s the thing: you didn’t do that because you are a bad person; you
did it because you were in the Red Zone.
And in the Red Zone, or high levels of stress, your brain gets almost hijacked by the stress so you do not always think or act rationally. In the Red Zone, our brain focuses on the negatives, we tend to personalize other people’s actions, we often feel like a victim of our circumstances and feel stuck. And then we react negatively.
Can you relate? Yah, me too. Stay out of the Red Zone when you are interacting with your teen.
If you have found this useful, you are going to love what I have for you next.
This opportunity has been purposefully designed so that you can have a
better relationship with your teen, so your teen can act in ways that you, as a parent, can be proud of.
