Panning (placing) a sound in the left or right stereo channel to emphasise where in the audio space you want the sound to be heard. In video you might want the sound to correspond with its action in the footage.
Panning sound using keyframes to move a sound from one channel to the other (e.g. left to right). You can allow a sound to follow an object in the video footage.
