Linux Tip number 19 - let's talk about the Linux history command. The history command keeps a list of all the other commands you've entered on the terminal in the past.
It also allows you to replay those commands instead of retyping them. Pretty cool, uh!
1) Just type "history" to search in your history.
2) Try typing "history | grep" and the term you are looking for. For example "nano."
3) To replay the command simply enter "!" and the history number
If you are a Linux User, the history command can save time and helps you optimize work.
Try it!
