Ex-Malaysian PM convicted on all 7 charges related to 1MDB scandal
A #Malaysian court on Tuesday found former Prime Minister Najib Razak guilty of all charges – seven in total – in the first of several multi-million dollar corruption trials. The convictions relate to the plundering of state-run development firm, #1MDB. They include abuse of power and three counts of money laundering for the misappropriation of over 13 million U.S. dollars from a subsidiary of the company. Najib has denied the allegations. Each charge carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
