In the realm of modern medicine, one size does not fit all.

Pharmacogenomics, the study of how genes affect a person’s response to drugs, aims to optimize medication efficacy and minimize adverse effects by considering genetic variability.

That genetic variability is guided by the process of meiosis, which shuffles our nucleotides arranged in a double helix structure, contributing to the genetic diversity observed among individuals

Through a collaboration with Dr. Mahfoud Assem, who specializes in biopharmaceutical sciences at the MCW School of Pharmacy, Michelle Anomaly, a local glass and metal sculptor, crafted the “Dance of Life” which represents the process of meiosis and the intricacy of our DNA.
