Global net zero challenges - an overview | Election 24
On 14 November 2023, the Academy of Social Sciences, in partnership with the University of Glasgow, co-hosted an event exploring the challenges ahead to reach the UK’s net zero commitments, featuring a keynote address by Chris Stark, Chief Executive of the UK Climate Change Committee.
In this video, Chris outlines the international net zero challenges we face, including outlining what a four degree warmer world could look like.

This event was part of Election 24: Ideas for change based on social science evidence, a Campaign for Social Science project which drew on a range of social science research to suggest evidence-based social policy directions in the run up to a UK general election in 2024.
