I recently purchased Hattricks by Diginoiz and I was a little less than impressed. It's not a terrible plugin, and there are definitely some good things about it, but I personally don't think it's worth the money.

In this video I do a review of the functions of Hattricks as well as explain the upsides and downsides of the plugin. I explain the limitations it has in my own production workflow and highlight some of the issues I experienced with the plugin.

While doing research for this video I dove deeper into Logic Pro's step sequencer and learned that basically everything that Hattricks can do can also be done in Logic's Step Sequencer (and potentially with other DAWs built in features). I also include a full tutorial showing you how you can use Logic Pro's Step Sequencer and Drum Machine Designer to do exactly what Hattricks does!

I did my best to be fair to Hattricks while also showing some free and paid alternative plugins that can accomplish the same thing. I definitely would like to know what other producers think of it. Would Hattricks be more useful in a DAW other than Logic Pro? Please let me know if that's the case.

Up until this point I have only seen positive reviews of the plugin which actually led to me buying it in the first place! Unfortunately I don't see this being a very useful tool to streamline my productions in the future unless Diginoiz decides to do some big updates to the plugin and adds some additional features.

Thank you for watching and I would love to hear your opinion of the plugin and my review!
