In this video I discuss home performance which to me includes both water and air. For water, we need to make sure we have good clean water which, since we are on a well, will require filtration. Then there is heating the water. While tankless water heaters are great, they come with drawbacks that most don't know. Luckily I found a new product that fixes all that. When it comes to air, most think you should just add more insulation. Insulation is great for controlling temperature differentials but will be more effective if you can air seal the house and control the air you have in it. But, then you have to think about air quality. Stale air isn't healthy so being able to control and filter the fresh air coming in is the goal. Last but not least is an efficient HVAC system. In this video we discuss all the steps we took in our lake house renovation to create a high performance home.
