Fawning is a type of stress response that may be common if someone is experiencing any type of PTSD that may come from a various degree of childhood or adult situations like emotional neglect. And there are many signs or symptoms of PTSD and it may not look exactly like fawning; however, fight, flight, freeze and fawn are common stress responses if someone has experienced trauma situations that are left not dealt with.
