DIY: Upcycle Your Sweatshirt into a Trendy Skirt
Join me as I turn a sweatshirt into a stylish skirt that you can either wear out on the town, or just to lounge around in. This was my own idea, inspired by so many other wonderful creators I follow. This is just like a "thrift flip", except I got the sweatshirt as a hand-me-down from a friend.
You will need a sweatshirt, scissors, a rotary cutter (if possible), thread, a sewing machine (if possible), a skirt that fits how you want your new skirt to fit, and a little creativity.
We are going to trace the skirt onto the sweatshirt upside down, making the bottom of your sweatshirt, the top of your skirt...wow! And, so much more. Watch the video to see exactly how I construct this fantastic piece of clothing out of another.
