In this video, I demonstrate three methods for extracting or exporting audio from a video on a Mac computer. You will learn how to extract only the audio, export audio without editing, and edit and export the audio with specific modifications.

The three methods covered in the video are:

Method 1: Double-click the video, open it in QuickTime Player, go to the file menu, choose "export," select "audio only," and save it as a .m4a file.

Method 2: Right-click on the video file, select "encode selected video file," choose "audio only" in the settings, and save the new audio-only file with a .m4a extension.

Method 3: Open the video in QuickTime, enable the display of frames by going to view and selecting "show clips" (or pressing command plus e). Then, go to view again, select "show audio tracks" (if it's initially grayed out), and edit the audio by trimming it with command plus t or splitting it with command plus y. After editing, remove the video by going to edit and selecting "remove the video." Finally, export the edited audio-only clip by choosing the audio-only option under the file menu.
