Hands down my favor favorite long distances truck of all time. The L-700 was produced in the Dodge L series which also included the L-600 they were manufactured form 1966 to 1971. The main difference between the 600 and the 700 hundred is fuel type the L-600 ran on gasoline where the 700 came with a diesel engine. The original engine type was a slant 6 engine a while later they replaced that with the V8. As for diesel engines they some used an old modle of the Cummins engine and others used the Perkins. Somthing I found surprising for it's time is that it had a seat belt which is weird not many vehicles at the time did because it was not mandatory by law at the time. Somthing that makes this truck cool is the 45°cab tilt if you need cases to the engine all you had to do was life up the cab and the engine sits right below the seats. Believe it or not for the years the vehicle was made it had a large selection of engines that it was manufactured with 6 in fact. Another interesting this is for it's time it had good restiantce from engine heat and noise it was also very easy to fix or replace parts and wiring on this particular truck. As for turning radius and suspension this truck can could be easily classified in its class fot the time period.
