Risk of Rain 2 Review: Solid Action, Aged Roguelike
Today's review is on Risk of Rain 2, an action roguelike which is mostly a 3D translation of the original game. But as one might expect from such a fundamental change, Risk of Rain 2 emphasizes different parts of the series' formula and is absolutely a unique title that can stand on its own two feet. Many of its roguelike conceits feel almost like they were brought from straight out of 2013 with a time machine and feel a little long in the tooth, but luckily the action half of the game's equation brings plenty enough to the table.
