The Swedish Air force and the Navy bought CH-46 Sea knights from Boeing and Kawasaki during 1963- 1973. The model in US is Boeing Vertol 107.
In total 22 helicopters were purchased. Today the engines for the twin rotors are replaced by stronger Rolls Royce Gnome H 1400-1, each engine produce 1400 hp. Mainly used for rescue, transport and anti submarine warfare.
