It's Getting Worse! (Amazon FBA UK 2024)
If you are thinking about STARTING an Amazon FBA business in 2024, you need to be aware of what it's REALLY like to have Amazon as a business partner. In this video, I am going expose one of the many shady techniques that Amazon uses to profiteer from Amazon sellers.
Amazon FBA private label is an incredible business opportunity, however, Amazon has awful Seller Support and it often feels like they do not care at all about Amazon sellers.
I started Amazon private label over 6 years ago so I have real world experience of what it's like to work with Amazon. I feel it is important to share my experience so that Amazon FBA beginners know what they are getting themselves into.
I have experienced many ups and downs since I started selling on Amazon and the frustrating thing is that most of the "downs" could have been avoided with better seller support.
As a recent example, Amazon decided to update the measurements of one of my out of stock products. This increase in dimensions led to an increase in the Amazon fulfilment fee charged on each order from £3.90 to £8.24. They must have remeasured a poorly packaged customer return as the dimensions were double that of factory packaged product.
To make matters worse, Amazon does not inform sellers when it remeasures products even when it results in a fee increase. Thankfully, I use Alerts from Helium 10 and that sends me a notification email to inform me of any changes.
I now need to wait until new inventory arrives and then I can request a Cubiscan so that Amazon remeasures the product, hopefully at the correct dimensions.
