An Israeli air strike has hit a car in Sidon in southern Lebanon
Hamas's media office says the person targeted in the assassination attempt - has survived.
This follows an escalation in violence on Sunday morning between Israel and Hezbollah.
The Lebanese group launched drones and rockets towards Israel in response to the assassination of one of its top commanders in Beirut last month.
