Step 1. Reconnect the device with the Mac computer
First, disconnect your device, connect it back to your computer, and trust the connection.
On the main screen of the Finder, select Setup as a new device option.

Step 2. Change iOS 18 to 17 in info.plist file
Click on the setup as a new device on the main Finder screen and continue.
On the next screen, tap on Manage Backups. After that, right-click on the other backup made before the iOS downgrading process, and select the Show in Finder option.

Now, double-click on the backup file; in the backup folder, scroll down and find the info.plist file, right-click on this file open it in any text editor.

Now find the line showing the iOS version in number, i.e., in this case, find 18.0 under the Product Version and change the version to 17, i.e. 16.0 and save the file.
Press the Command + S button to save the file.

Step 3. Restore Backup after the iOS 18 beta Downgrade
Go to the Finder and click on the Restore Backup button.
Then select the backup you want to restore from the pop-up, do not forget to check the date or the backup creation to make sure you’re restoring iOS 18 backup you just changed, and press the Restore button.
