Her journey from a professional dancer to a CrossFit superstar is a testament to her dedication, resilience, and sheer athletic prowess. Born in California, Brooke's athletic career began long before she discovered CrossFit, with a background in swimming, gymnastics, softball, and dance. It was this diverse foundation that sculpted her into the versatile athlete she is today.
Ence's transition to CrossFit was almost serendipitous. While pursuing a degree as a dance major at the University of Utah, she had her sights set on Broadway. However, her path took a dramatic turn when she joined the UTE CrossFit team in 2011. Her natural talent for the sport was undeniable, and it wasn't long before she started making waves in the competitive scene. By 2014, she placed 6th in the CrossFit NorCal Regional, but it was in 2015 that she truly shone. Brooke dominated the California Regional, securing first place and earning her ticket to the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games¹.
