SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read both 0X0 |Error solved | linux or ubuntu usbboot |
don't panic and follow steps carefully
same found in linux boot from stack overflow:
when I was doing repairs on the computer years ago, I broke the brackets holding the display, and ever since sometimes on boot I would get a bios error of 8 beeps which when I looked it up is a "display memory failure" but the computer would load fine and continue working (and beeping until restarted).
running a memory diagnostic always gave errors, however the computer was functioning fine, so I wasn't sure what to do
well my problem is that today I installed Linux mint (I am new to Linux) and when prompted I erased the windows 7 and installed on the entire hard drive.
when it asked me to remove the boot media, and click enter. I pressed enter a few times, it didn't work. I had read that sometimes with a Linux install the keyboard keys behave wrong. so I started trying pressing random keys, and that's when the computer started giving
squashfs error: unable to read page block squashfs error: unable to read data cache
It has been going through every memory block (right now at 8000) it has been at least 30 minutesenter image description here
I am looking for insight as to what the problem might be. and possible solutions
Thanks in advance

EDIT: I looked closely at the photo, and I noticed it is saying one memory block each line: memory block 3d05662d size 10c40 and cache entry [3d05662d]
