On this island, which is called the island of the prison, there is now a large reserve with the Aldabra species of Seychelles. According to history, in 1918 the British Governor of the Seychelles donated 4 individuals of turtles to preserve the species, as it was endangered. Then they quickly bred up to 200 individuals in 40 years. But then local residents began to steal them. Therefore, this place was made the World Reserve for the Conservation of the Aldabra species. Until now, new individuals continue to be brought here and grown in a closed environment. The excursion will be very pleasant for both adults and children, as you will have the opportunity of direct contact with the turtles. You can feed them, pet them, and the kids can even sit! Attention!!! Adults MUST NOT sit on turtles! you can damage the slopes with it. On the island of Prison, there is also a Hotel with a swimming pool and detached villas. And the central area with a swimming pool, only this area is located at the entrance. and all excursions that come to see turtles will take place around the pool. You can go to the bar located in the prison building and order food if you are hungry. Then you get on a boat and sail towards Stone Town but stop at the disappearing island of Nakupenda (which is translated from Swahili: "I love you"). It is a sand spit island with white coral sand. It is called the disappearing island because at high tide the island is completely submerged under water. On the island, you can take beautiful photos on the white beaches, dive and see the coral reef.
