As a Japanese of North Korean descent, Magomi Hashimoto or Honchi Kim was initiated into the world of the Yakuza as a child. His mother married six times, out of which five of them were Yakuza. Magomi has been in and out of prison as a Yakuza but has now decided to take a different path to run for office and fight for the rights of ethnic Koreans like him.
