ip a
hint: replace * to your interface name
vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-*
if you are using an ipv4 router disable other network config options and make it loaded on boot:
ONBOOT=yes
hint: to edit this file using vi you have to press i to be enable to edit.
here how to save your config using the vi editor:
press esc key
hit an :
type x
hit enter
reboot your server to get an ip from your dhcp
