Here we are. The final game in the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection: Mega Man ZX Advent. This game has a rather notorious reputation for having some of the worst voice acting and transformations in Mega Man history. It sold poorly which led to an abrupt end for the ZX series. Personally, I didn't think it was as bad as some make it out to be. It's inferior to the original Mega Man ZX, but still much better than games like Mega Man X6 and X7. As for collection version of ZXA, Capcom decided to remaster the animated cutscenes and voice acting so it doesn't look and sound nearly as terrible. So, let's find out if these changes made the game better!
The story of Mega Man ZX Advent takes place a few years after the original Mega Man ZX. Models H, F, L, and P have been stolen from Vent/Aile by Prometheus and Pandora. At the same time, a new Biometal (Model A) has been unearthed by illegal Raiders and is being transported to be sold on the black market. Enter the new player characters, Grey and Ashe. Ashe leads the offensive by the Hunter's Guild to recover Model A from the Raiders while Grey awakens in a mysterious laboratory and finds himself on the run from Pandora. Depending on who the player chooses, that character will survive the intro mission, inherit Model A, and become an unwilling participant in the Game of Destiny. Grey/Ashe must defeat the new wielders of Models H, F, L, and P as well as 8 new Pseudoroids in order to stop the puppet master that seeks to unleash the ultimate Biometal (Ouroboros).
Mega Man ZX Advent is the longest game on the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection. The game's story is divided into 3 distinct acts (getting to Legion Headquarters, hunting down Model Ws, and then finding Albert and destroying Ouroboros). This video focuses on the first act which ends when we meet the Sage Trinity at Legion Headquarters. Enjoy!
