This is an introduction video to compensating transactions in an Orchestration SAGA implemented with Spring Boot and Axon Framework.
In a Orchestration SAGA, a compensating transaction is a way to undo a previous action if something goes wrong. For example, if you have a process with three steps and the second step fails, you can’t just undo the second step. You also need to undo the first step to keep everything consistent. This undoing is the compensating transaction. It’s like a safety net to ensure that your system remains consistent even when errors occur.
