We test whether the HDMI cable included with the Sony PS5 (Playstation 5) console is indeed HDMI 2.1, by using a Denon X2700H receiver which can run a cable test up to 40Gbps.
We also present two further evidence of the Sony PS5's HDMI 2.1 bandwidth being capped at 32Gbps, namely an LG C9 (with an HDMI 2.1 bandwidth of 48Gbps), and also the FRL information on the Denon receiver (added after a firmware update).
