Today's class began with our top-down method of reviewing the market. We looked at the SPX, NDX and RUT, as well as the SOX and VIX. We then navigated to a few sectors; specifically energy, utilities, real estate and home builders. Finally we looked at a few stocks in the news that made headlines for upcoming addition to the S&P 500 Index.
