"De Libertate" - Ukrainian baroque poem
Song is based on the poem of Ukrainian philosopher of the 18th century Hryhorii Skovoroda, performed by music band "Chorea Kosatska".
Song glorifies freedom as a biggest value, and Bohdan Khmelnytskyi - cossack hetman, who liberate Ukraine from Poland in 1648. So called "golden freedom", mentioned in song, is "Aurea Libertas" - political system of Poland-Lithuania Commonwealth in 16-18th century. Author says, that this "golden freedom" as a gold is a dirt compared with real freedom, gained by "father of freedom" Bohdan Khmelnytskyi.
