The Nigeria Labour Congress has stressed that it did not reject the salary increment by the Federal Government.
The NLC clarified that the 25 and 35 percent increase in wages of civil servants is statutory and does not negate the ongoing negotiations for a new national minimum wage.
The clarification became necessary due to some misguided reports by some sections of the media that the organized Labour Union is rejecting Federal Government's approval of 25 and 35 percent increase on some civil servants under Consolidated salary structure
