fleshripper chain stagger vs soldier: valheim mistlands
i'll have to try more of this, as i think it is breakpoint sensitive. but at the end, you will see me sprinting around and kicking the soldier, which seems to be enough to re-stagger it. not necessarily the best or most efficient attack vector, but still interesting. the constant sprinting doesnt allow any stamina regen once you start the cycle.
the kick is a major distinguishing feature of the fleshrippers because, like bare fists, the secondary has 6x stagger. on your fists, this is maybe something you used once or twice on a greyling in the first few minutes of a new world. but on a weapon that actually deals decent damage, 6x stagger is very high, almost as high as a level 2 krom secondary:

1x damage, 6x stagger multiplier

the difference is fleshrippers have a faster secondary, and while both secondaries are 2x stamina, fleshrippers are lower cost since they are mountain-level equipment. the advantage of krom is it can actually parry a little, whereas fleshrippers have such low block armor that you really must achieve stagger by attacking directly.
even with wolf armor, it takes so long to wrap around the soldier and throw the kick that it is actually just coming out of stagger and not taking bonus damage until the final kick, when i got there a little bit faster.
you can see stagger breakpoints in action here, as the first butt-kick at 66.1 damage did not stagger. but the subsequent kicks, including one for 66.6, did stagger. leveling your weapon skills raises your damage as well as minimum damage, narrowing the damage range gap, making breakpoints more consistent. the set bonus helps with that, boosting fists by +15.
